Regina Gallery is happy to announce the Ad Hoc project — Victor Alimpiev's solo show.
Victor Alimpiev is known primarily for his video works. Though the new project consists entirely of paintings, it corresponds with the artist's video work Weak Rot Front, currently displayed at the Futurology exhibition (Garage Centre of Contemporary Art). The paintings' compositions consist of reiterating, rhymed shapes, which refer directly to the choreography in the video. They look like the diagram that visualizes the rhythm of breath or heartbeat. It could be a trace of the physical labour of the dancers.
