Artist's Coronation
Well, ladies and gentlemen, comrades and comradess, we have gathered at this festive moment to announce the winner. What a sweet word is VICTORY. The name of the chosen one will be announced at the end of December. But now, neither the jury nor the honorable public has any doubts about who won the race. The entire art world unanimously and without alternative nominated and supported Konstantin Zvezdochetov's candidacy for the post of "King of Russian Art". He rightfully deserved this title, and we decided to present him with an art crown and mark it with an unprecedented event — a solo show of the King in the unique space of the House with Atlants.
I, a gallerist of All Russia, have known Konstantin almost since art swaddle. Starting my quest for masterpieces back in 1990, I was immediately fascinated by the subtle humor and depth of our King's ideas. 35 years have passed since then, our country and all of us have been through everything during that time, but the feeling of lightness and youthful enthusiasm with which KZ performed (this is how he signed some of the works) at the beginning of his career is still with him.
