Leonid Tskhe: Exposition

22 October - 8 December 2024 Winzavod

Leonid Tskhe's exhibition - self-portrait watercolors and a monumental six-meter work from the period of quarantine and self-isolation - will be presented to the general public for the first time. The exhibition will also be supplemented by works from the "Mono Tskhe" project, painted with only one paint - burnt bone, and a new series "Las Meninas", in which the artist enters into a dialogue with Velazquez.

Constant variability is a familiar distinctive feature of the young artist, meanwhile, Tskhe is naturally now considered an author at his creative zenith. His painting evolves and changes in each project, none of them are similar to the previous one. The exhibition includes works from different periods of the artist's work, in which the viewer will be able to witness the creative evolution and diversity of the author.

Over time, projects become memories or marks (notches) with which certain moments and events from life are associated. "Everything depends on the environment and the circumstances, which always have a very strong influence on me, absolutely everything that I see, who I meet, who I will communicate with. Life inside painting simply moves by itself; it is accompanied by a second life and everything that exists in reality. I myself am very interested in the process of change, in life and painting, the experimentation itself excites me. I guess the movement itself excites me," says Tskhe.
